Terms of Service — Sapienti Booking Appointments
Last updated: 07 September 2026
1. Service and operator
These terms govern Sapienti Booking Appointments, the appointment enquiry and scheduling service on centrosapienti.com and book.centrosapienti.com, operated by Sapienti International School — SIS, Rua de Birre 183, 2750-217 Cascais, Portugal (“Sapienti”, “we”, “us”). Contact: info@sapienti.one; +351 967 660 163.
The service lets users request information and optionally arrange appointments with Sapienti. It uses self-hosted Cal.diy and, where a host has authorized them, Google Calendar and Google Meet. These terms concern appointment scheduling only; admission, education, examinations, tuition and other services are governed by their own applicable agreements.
2. Appropriate use
Provide accurate contact and scheduling information. You must be authorized to act for anyone on whose behalf you book, and to connect any Google account or calendar. A parent, guardian or authorized representative should arrange appointments involving children where required by law. Do not submit sensitive documents or unnecessary personal information through booking notes.
Do not make fraudulent or abusive bookings, interfere with availability, attempt unauthorized access, share another person’s credentials, or use the service unlawfully. Calendar owners are responsible for safeguarding their accounts, selecting appropriate calendars and checking their availability settings.
3. Enquiries and confirmations
Submitting an enquiry does not reserve an appointment. A time is reserved only when the booking system or Sapienti explicitly confirms it. Check the date, timezone, participants and joining instructions. Displayed availability can change before confirmation. A booking is not a guarantee of admission, acceptance, eligibility, academic results or purchase of another service.
Appointment scheduling itself does not request or process payment through this form. If an underlying consultation or other service carries a charge, its price and relevant cancellation conditions must be communicated separately before you agree to it.
4. Calendar access and online meetings
Calendar connections require the account holder’s Google authorization. The service uses the granted permissions to check selected calendars for conflicts and create, update or cancel appointment events in a selected destination calendar. For appointments with Google Meet as the location, it requests a meeting link. Google authorization, availability, account permissions and third-party service operation can affect these features.
You may disconnect the integration in Cal.diy or revoke access through your Google Account. Doing so may stop future synchronization and meeting creation; it does not automatically cancel existing appointments or erase existing Google events. Contact Sapienti if a calendar connection fails or booking details appear inconsistent. Google services remain subject to Google’s applicable terms and policies.
Do not share private meeting links beyond intended participants. This booking integration does not record meetings. Any separately proposed recording requires appropriate notice and any authorization required by law.
5. Changes, cancellations and communications
Use the rescheduling/cancellation controls provided with a booking, where available, or contact Sapienti promptly. Sapienti may need to change or cancel an appointment because of staff availability, errors, maintenance or circumstances outside its reasonable control, and will use available contact details to communicate relevant changes where practicable.
Application email notifications may be unavailable or disabled, including during testing. Do not rely solely on receiving email: retain the on-screen confirmation and contact Sapienti if unsure. Google may separately issue calendar notifications according to the integration and account settings.
6. Privacy
The separate Privacy Policy titled “Privacy Policy — Sapienti Booking Appointments” describes booking data, Google API access, retention and your rights. It is provided through the app’s privacy-policy reference/Google authorization configuration and is available on request at info@sapienti.one. Authorization to access a calendar is not consent to sell its data or use it for advertising.
7. Availability and responsibility
We take reasonable care in operating the service, but do not promise uninterrupted availability or error-free synchronization with third-party systems. Contact us if an error affects an appointment. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, removes mandatory consumer rights, or limits rights under applicable data-protection law.
We may restrict misuse or temporarily suspend functions for security, maintenance or legal reasons. Restrictions on calendar integration do not remove your ability to contact Sapienti through its normal contact channels.
8. Changes and applicable law
We may update these terms for service or legal changes, identifying the new date above and giving any notice required by law. Changes do not retrospectively remove rights relating to an existing booking.
Portuguese law applies, without depriving consumers of mandatory protections available under the law of their habitual residence where applicable. Any dispute remains subject to applicable rules on jurisdiction and consumer remedies. Please contact Sapienti first so we can try to resolve an appointment-related issue.
