OxfordAQA officially launches in Portugal!

We were honoured to hold our official launch event at the residence of the British Ambassador to Portugal, Lisa Bandari, in sunny Lisbon this week.

School leaders came to hear all about OxfordAQA and what we can offer International schools in Portugal from our speakers Andrew Coombe Managing Director of OxfordAQA and Pablo Guillen, Senior School Relationship Manager for Iberia. Alex Sykes Managing Director for the International Education division at Oxford University Press talked about the Oxford International Programme and how it develops the skills and attitudes students need for the future.

We were delighted to be joined by our guest speaker, Sophie Armitage, Assistant Headteacher at The British School of Lisbon – one of the first approved centres in Portugal – to hear about their journey so far with OxfordAQA.

We also heard from Dr Alexandra Tomescu, Generative AI Specialist at Oxford University Press, who delivered a thought provoking session on the Oxford approach to AI in the classroom.

Thank you to the Ambassador and to the British Embassy in Lisbon for their gracious hospitality and for welcoming us so warmly.

We look forward to working with more schools across Portugal soon!
